Symbiosis University - BBA Program - SET Selection Process, Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus and Paper Pattern
The Symbiosis BBA Program is a popular undergraduate management program offered by institutes under Symbiosis International University. Admission to the BBA program is mainly done through the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), which is conducted for various undergraduate courses. SET evaluates a student’s aptitude in areas such as general English, quantitative ability, analytical reasoning and general awareness. Students interested in pursuing BBA from Symbiosis should understand the selection process, eligibility criteria, syllabus and paper pattern before starting their preparation.
The Complete Selection Process has Two Stages:
- An online MCQ exam (called SET)
- Personal Interview
Stage 1: SET
The first stage of the Symbiosis BBA selection process is the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). It is an online/computer-based MCQ test conducted for admission to undergraduate programs offered by Symbiosis institutes such as SCMS Pune, SCMS Noida, SCMS Nagpur and other applicable institutes.
SET Paper Pattern

Attempts:
SET is usually conducted on two different test dates. Candidates can appear for one or both attempts. If a candidate appears for both attempts, the higher score is considered for the admission process.
Stage 2 : Personal Interview
After the SET exam result, candidates are shortlisted for the next round based on their SET performance and institute-wise cut-off. For the BBA program at institutes like SCMS Pune and SCMS Noida, the next major stage is generally the Personal Interaction (PI) round.
Shortlisting for Stage 2
Only candidates who have appeared for SET and have also applied/paid separately for the respective Symbiosis institute are considered for shortlisting.
For example, if a student wants admission to SCMS Pune, appearing for SET alone is not enough. The student must also complete the application/payment process for SCMS Pune separately.
Personal Interaction Round
The Personal Interaction (PI) is an interview round conducted by the institute. It may be conducted online or as per the mode decided by the respective Symbiosis institute.
In this round, the candidate interacts with a panel of experts from academics or industry.
